Since opening over 30 years ago, The Red Balloon has been a staple when it comes to New Jersey kids’ fashion. The store spent decades helping families find beautiful fashions until it fell under new ownership in 2013. Since buying the store, Nicole Kavanagh has taken the space above and beyond.
Nicole had her own past as a Manhattan-based fashion designer, and she uses that knowledge to bring in fabulous styles. While their website lets you get a sneak peek at some of the clothing, the shop has an even greater selection at their location. You can view it yourself at 386 Springfield Ave. in Summit.
Services
The Red Balloon provides seasonal collections featuring quaint themes and modern styles. The shop offers clothing starting in newborn sizes and going up to a size 14. You’ll be able to find striped baby pajamas, ruffly floral dresses, and warm knit sweaters. The store carries top brands, including Pink Chicken, Angel Dear, Florence Eiseman, 3 Marthas, Appaman, and more.
And while you’ll have tons of options for nicer events, the shop makes sure to keep it fun. From cars to dogs, The Red Balloon has plenty of designs your child will love. They also have a rotating selection of seasonal gear, including swimsuits and winter coats.
